beach bums

on saturday, we finally made it out to the beach. this was the fourth time we've gone since we've lived in nc, and it was malcolm's first trip. he absolutely LOVED it! the weather was perfect, and the water temperature was just right. it really couldn't have been a better day to go. we had an awesome time. i love the beach.

i have no idea what these little ocean critters are, but they were pretty interesting. they would burrow into the rocky sand, when the waves crashed on the beach. alanna caught them in the sand sifter toy, and then put them in the bucket. they were fast and kind of hard to catch. you could feel the big ones moving around your feet underwater. kinda creepy.

at the end of the day, he was exhausted. we all were. he actually fell asleep up there, and layed his head on danny's head for a bit. so funny. i can't wait to go back.
